This site collects gestures. Each of them measures something.
The Universal Attention Index measures what we grant to the texts that actually engage us. The other pieces on this site measure other forms of negligence — the distance between a masterpiece and its parody, between the real and the imaginary that replaces it, between a melting pole and the language that names it, between an original and its digital copy.
None of these measurements is innocent. The instrument always turns against what it claims to observe. This is the very definition of appropriation.
The rest is to be read as a table of measurements that has not yet found its infinity.
